Announcements for June
Field Day 2009 at Arlington Yacht Club
The Arlington ARC Field Day 2009 operation takes place between 1:00pm CDT on June 27 and ends by 8:00am CDT on June 28.
However, we need all the help we can get to set up for Field Day. We will begin setting up at 9:00am CDT on June 27.
We also need all the help we can get to take down our antennas and equipment when Field day is over. We will begin taking down our equipment by 8:00am CDT on June 28. We must be out of the Arlington Yacht Club location by 9:00 CDT on June 28, so please come help us with the take down.
For more information, please click the Field Day 2009 menu on the left side of the page.
No Test Session on July 4
Due to the holiday and that Phil Stage, N5PWW will be out of town on Saturday, July 4, the regularly scheduled Test Session for that day has been cancelled.
New Day and Time for Executive Board Meetings
The Arlington Amateur Radio Club Executive Board has voted to move the Executive Board meetings to 6:30pm on the 3rd Friday of every month (except December). The new day and time will become effective on January 16, 2009. The Executive Board will now meet just prior to our regular Membership meeting. All members are invited to attend.

The AARC Needs a Good Projector
If you enjoy the great presentations at our club meetings, then you know how much better they are when we have access to a projector. The AARC has been fortunate in that we can often borrow a projector from the Arlington OEM. However, that is not always possible or feasible. The AARC takes great pride in being able to offer classes and presentations during the year. These classes and presentations are so much better when we have a projector available. We would very much like to acquire a projector for the AARC, but if you have ever priced them you know they are rather expensive. So if you know of someone or some company with a projector they would like to donate, please let us know. You can contact Phil Stage, N5PWW at 817-465-5624.
